Hey there. I'm Amy. I live in Brooklyn, NY with my husband Matt, our son Freddie and our dog Bruce. Thank you for stopping by.

Old Sweet Song started as a blog in 2008. I was feeling stuck and creatively unfulfilled at my job as an Art Director in advertising so I created an online space that I could pour all my creative energy into and basically do whatever I wanted. I kept up the blog regularly for many years, posting five days a week. From the beginning, I knew I would ultimately transition the blog into something else. The truth is I’ve always wanted to make things. Finally, that change happened in early 2016 when I laucnhed the Old Sweet Song greeting card line.

I’ve always been a creative soul, a maker, a kooky idea haver and a paper goods fan. All of those traits added up to me always dreaming about starting my own stationery line. I found that I was looking for cards that were brutally honest, funny, colorful and simply designed. I couldn’t find them anywhere so I decided to make them. The collection launched with 22 cards and there's plenty more where that came from.

The name Old Sweet Song comes from a Ray Charles song lyric. “Just an old sweet song keeps Georgia on my mind.” I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia and though I’ve been in New York for 12 years Georgia will always have my heart.

When I’m not designing cards and/or occasionally blogging here, I have a full-time job as an Advertising Creative Director. I also enjoy taking walks and eating pizza. It’s a busy life, but it’s a happy one.
